AFTERCARE
General Care Guidelines
Tattoo as a Wound
A tattoo is essentially a wound on your skin. Maintaining hygiene and minimizing irritation is crucial.
Care Duration
Depending on the type of tattoo and your skin condition, you may need to care for it for at least one to two weeks.
Recommended Products
Use Bepanthen First Aid for aftercare. Bepanthen Antiseptic and Bepanthen Tattoo are also good alternatives.
Important Precautions
Avoid Sun Exposure
Australia’s strong UV rays can harm your tattoo, so keep the area covered and well-moisturized.
Stay Away from Germ-Prone Areas
Avoid places like gyms, swimming pools, yoga centers, saunas, and the ocean.
Exercise Caution
If your tattooed area is near muscles that will be heavily used during exercise, be aware that the skin may experience irritation from contraction and expansion.
Avoid Irritants
Hot water, harsh chemicals in body products, and rough clothing materials should be avoided to prevent irritation.
Limit Alcohol
If you have sensitive skin or received a large tattoo, avoid alcohol for about a week.
USING SECOND SKIN
Application and Duration
-
Wearing Second Skin: The second skin applied to your tattoo can stay on for 1-3 days. Do not add any additional tape.
-
Request Extra If Needed: If you need extra second skin, please inform us.
Removal and Cleaning
-
Check for Proper Adhesion: If the second skin isn’t perfectly adhered, remove it to prevent contamination. Even if well-adhered, remove it within three days.
-
Cleaning the Area: After removal, clean the area with lukewarm water to remove any blood, plasma, or ink.
Post-Removal Care
-
Start Moisturizing: After removing the second skin, begin using products like Bepanthen, D-Panthenol, or tattoo creams. Avoid using Vaseline as it does not aid skin regeneration.
-
Apply Moisturizer: Apply a thin layer of moisturizer 3-5 times a day.
Continued Moisturization
Maintain Moisture: Even after the initial care period, continue moisturizing with body lotion or oil to help with color retention

Dealing with Inflammation
Inflammation Care: If inflammation occurs, use anti-inflammatory ointments or oral medication from a pharmacy. In severe cases, visit a doctor. Healing may take longer if inflammation occurs, and touch-ups can only be done once fully healed.
TATTOO COLOR DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
Initial Days
Normal Seepage: During the first few days, blood, plasma, and ink may seep or accumulate under the second skin. This is normal. Wipe off dried blood or plasma and apply Bepanthen.
Peeling and Itching
Peeling Process: After 4-5 days, the area may itch and start to peel. The color may look dull, and skin shedding is normal. Do not scratch or forcibly remove the skin.
New Skin Formation
Cloudy Appearance: After peeling, a cloudy new epidermis will form. This will settle over time, but may appear lighter if the new skin is dry.
Final Color Check
Wait One Month: It takes at least one month to accurately assess the color. After this period, apply water or moisturizer to soften the new skin and check the color.
Inflammation During Healing
Handling Inflammation: If inflammation occurs, scabs or crusts may form. Use antibiotic ointments and oral antibiotics as needed, and see a doctor if the condition is severe. Touch-ups should only be done after the skin has fully healed.
TOUCH-UP POLICY
Free Touch-Up
First Session: The first touch-up is free of charge.
Additional Charges
Applicable Fees: Fees apply for additional touch-ups, rescheduling after cancellation, inflammation due to customer negligence, or work done more than six months ago (except for guest artist work).
